DAY TEN of the Olympics is here - and things are heating up across Paris with Team GB picking up another three medals but Simone Biles failing to grab her eighth and ninth.

Team GB picked up a brilliant gold medal in the women's team sprint inside the velodrome, with Katy Marchant, Sophie Capewell and Emma Finucane setting a new world record in all THREE of their races.

Earlier, the Brits had agonisingly missed out on mixed triathlon gold in the first medal event of the day, finishing in third place, while Kimberley Woods (bronze) and Joe Clarke (silver) both brought home medals in the kayak cross. Later tonight, Keeley Hodgkinson will aim to go one better than she did in Tokyo as she vies for 800m gold.

Elsewhere, gymnastics legend Simone Biles failed to win gold in her final two events of the games, coming fifth in the beam final after a fall and winning silver in the floor event.

With 60 minutes gone, Morocco still lead from that Soufiane Rahimi penalty in the first half.

Now here we go with the proper racing in the women's team sprint - one team starting on the far side, one team on the near side.

I am imaging a split screen for those watchingon TV.

In the first heat, the Netherlands pip China but that does not rule the Chinese out of gold just yet - they just need the other six teams to all go slower.
