This school is very unfriendly, the financial Aide office is of absolutely no help to some students, The cashier office is RUDE and just down right ignorant. This school really takes advantage of the students, especially the students are from out of town. This school never mails out the financial aide packet until the campus is ready to open for fall class. You can't reach anyone over the summer to get info or ask questions. Mysterious they answer calls right before the semester begins. Financial aide packet is not enough to cover the entire tuition ? I've witnessed students at better institutions with higher tuitions get a better financial aide package that covers their entire tuition, just wondering why this institution doesn't? This school is only meant for the locals to attend. Anyone thinking of sending their scholar here please think twice!!!! For the money that you will pay out of pocket this institution isn't worth it send them to a private or top 10 school.

Overall, I think that Dakota State University is a great school to attend. The professors are very flexible and helpful when it comes to their coursework. Though the campus may be a little small, the students and facility are nice and are always willing to help you. I enjoy the connections that you can make to some of the facilities and other students because since it is a small campus, it is pretty easy to make friends and keep those connections since you see them quite often throughout campus. Another thing I enjoy is the walking distance between the buildings throughout campus because it only takes about 5 minutes to walk through DSU, so you don't have to rush to class and you can enjoy the scenery or talk to friends on the way to class. Some changes I would like to see are the activities that occur throughout campus because it does get boring pretty quickly on campus, but Sioux Falls is only an hour away which is nice to get away from campus for a couple hours.

I love Dakota State University. I'm a very introverted person so I love how small the school's population is. The professors are very open to students. Diversity is very common.
